The objective to introduce new amenity facilities within the central part of the village needs to be supported by new residential development that will result in new residents being within easy walking and cycling distance of them. Site 039 clearly meets this objective better than site 226 for the reasons mentioned previously.

The objective to introduce new amenity facilities within the central part of the village needs to be supported by new residential development that will result in new residents being within easy walking and cycling distance of them. Site 039 clearly meets this objective better than site 226 for the reasons mentioned previously.

As the proposed community facility will be partly funded by developer contributions it is critical that other financial burdens placed on development to make them acceptable are reduced. This reinforces the concern that development on the Fiddlers Field site is so heavily dependant on delivering the new road and priority junctions that the development will offer little in the way of wider community benefits.
