We support the proposals which appear to be quite stringent and concentrate mainly on energy use. However, we note there is nothing in the policy about sustainable use of water and dealing with sewage. This needs to be addressed in other policy documents as water use has a large carbon footprint. Will you be issuing a water policy. Using green spaces, landscaping and retaining wildlife rich spaces is also not mentioned although there are other policies that address these issues. How will monitoring after building be addressed and what will the sanctions be.
