Representation Summary:

Boxted Parish Council objects to the allocation of land north of Boxted Straight Road (PP26) for housing, arguing it conflicts with the Boxted Neighbourhood Plan, the adopted Colchester Local Plan, and national planning policy. The site is constrained by ribbon development, risks coalescence with Colchester, harms countryside and agricultural land, and lacks sustainability. The Council also considers the allocation unnecessary, as existing plans already meet housing needs. It therefore deems PP26 unjustified and unsound, and requests its deletion from the emerging Local Plan. Policy modifications are suggested if the allocation is taken forward.
